Job Summary

BalanceNorth Health are seeking a Physiotherapist with Clinical Pilates training to join our team of allied health professionals at our purpose-built wellbeing center opening in March 2021. The practice is in Preston, Victoria. This is an opportunity for you to create your own book within our practice with the support and infrastructure provided by our team.

 

Offering

The Role

Our Physiotherapist will:

  • Offer a strong knowledge, evidence-based physiotherapy assessments and on-going treatment approach
  • Maintain a high level of clinical competence through ongoing education
  • Work in collaboration with our team of allied health professional to offer an effortless approach to care
  • Lead clinical Pilates small group classes.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Private practice experience, possibly with Clinical Pilates training
  • A physiotherapy degree qualified with AHPRA registration

About us

We are a busy private practice established in 2008, with a strong clinical pilates and running injury management focus. We are also the largest clinic in Melbourne & CBD offering small group clinical pilates. We have five Physiotherapists and Myotherapist, this role will take on an existing caseload and enable the clinic director to reduce their full-time clinical role in 2021.

 

We are committed to providing exceptional patient care and rely on clinical expertise and teamwork to achieve optimal outcomes for our clients. Our treatment philosophy includes strong manual therapy and exercise prescription skills alongside clinical pilates, strength
conditioning and education to help our clients achieve their goals.

 

About you

  • Minimum 5 years private practice experience.
  • A professional who is able to share an existing caseload. 
  • Love of clinical pilates and is an experienced and passionate teacher, and who practices pilates themselves. 
  • Completed post-graduate course work in areas that expand and consolidate their injury management and treatment skills.
  • Strong manual therapy and exercise prescription skills with the ability to structure, communicate and deliver an evidence-based treatment plan for their clients.
  • Willingness to follow through and develop professional relationships with referring practitioners.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and willing to contribute to our team.

The successful applicant will be rewarded with an excellent remuneration package including CPD support, based on experience and will undergo in house training and development upon commencing the role. The start date for this role is negotiable and a part time position will be considered for the right applicant. No weekend cover or evenings are required.

The role 

The role is advertised as full-time (Monday to Friday only - no weekend work required!), but we are looking for anyone who aligns with our philosophy and is available to work part time or cover classes for us.

We require you to have current unrestricted work rights in Australia, AHPRA registration, APA membership and professional indemnity insurance.

Cadence Pilates is seeking a vibrant and enthusiastic Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist who has a passion for Pilates to join our team. Completion of APPI Mat/equipment certification or currently enrolled to complete APPI Mat/equipment certification is strongly desired. 

 
The role will include:
  • Instruction of group reformer fitness based pilates classes
  • Assessment/screening of new clients
  • Creativity and development of well-planned classes working within our curriculum-based model.
  • Assessment and treatment for the set up of individual programs using the pilates equipment for clients presenting with a particular injury/condition. 
  • Supervision and progression of client’s attending our rehab/treatment focused group sessions on the Pilates equipment.
 
Early morning, evening and weekend availability will be required.
