This spring, we’ve hosted three webinars all around levelling up in your Pilates career, being financially rewarded for your work, and beginning your own successful studio! At Unite Health, we’re committed to supporting our community beyond the APPI certified courses we offer – we nurture our community members every step of the way along their journeys to creating their dream career in the Pilates industry.

As part of this commitment, we spoke to a bunch of different guest speakers, each of whom is an expert in the industry, and had invaluable experience and wisdom to share with us all. Webinar 1: How to Make Money and Thrive as a Pilates Instructor

Our first webinar dove into the most effective strategies for staying inspired as a Pilates instructor, and the best ways to be financially rewarded for your work and skills in the industry. While many people enter the Pilates industry for a sense of fulfilment and reward, and a genuine passion for the strengthening and rehabilitation benefits Pilates has on the lives of so many people, the financial gains prospects of being a Pilates instructor is an important factor many people feel isn’t discussed enough. Of course, the flexibility and autonomy that comes with being an instructor is appealing, but most people want to know whether this career path is lucrative enough to allow them to live the lifestyle they want for themselves – so we wanted to shed some light on the financial side of things!

In breaking down the taboo around money talks, we delved deep and spoke to three experts who have previously completed their training with Unite Health, and since gone on to pursue careers in the Pilates industry. They shared their top tips for carving your own niche or pathway in the industry, how to find employment opportunities that align with your goals and purpose, and strategies for being financially rewarded for the valuable services and expertise you offer your clients. Webinar 2: How to Level Up as a Pilates Instructor

Our second webinar covered the importance of upskilling and setting yourself apart from your competitors in the increasingly popular Pilates industry. As Pilates continues to grow in demand, as a career opportunity and as a workout modality, it’s becoming more and more important to differentiate yourself to carve out a successful, lucrative career path.

Whether you choose to upskill by participating in our mentoring sessions or packages, you’ll have the chance to work one-on-one with an expert educator leading the charge in the Pilates industry, giving you the opportunity to ask all your questions and receive really hands-on, practical advice – whether it be in the realm of business or Pilates instructing and technique. You can receive supportive, actionable feedback on your teaching from the best in the industry, helping you hone and improve your skills and confidence.

These sessions are a fantastic way to practise your skills and incorporate all the learnings from your APPI Pilates Instructor Course, giving you the chance to put your comprehensive education into practice ahead of your examinations. Webinar 3: How to Open Your Own Pilates Studio

The final webinar in our Spring Series shared insights from four highly successful experts in the industry, each of whom has extensive experience in establishing and growing their own Pilates studio (or multiple studios!). While each speaker had a unique journey as to how they achieved their own level of success, they all agreed on the most fundamental aspects of establishing a successful Pilates studio in a booming industry – sharing strategic tips including hiring the right staff, formulating an effective business plan, and identifying the specific demographic you want to teach Pilates to.

The guests shared their own challenges and learnings from their experiences establishing Pilates studios and businesses, so you can leverage their advice to avoid making the same mistakes, and ensure your own business venture has a greater chance of success.
