Exercise Of The Month - Pilates Saw
Exercise Of The Month - Pilates Saw is an example of a traditional Pilates exercise taught in the APPI repertoire. Depending on your client, it can be easily modified to ensure it's safe and achievable for different people with varying degrees of experience and ability.

As you can see in the video, the traditional version involves a significant level of flexibility, especially through the adductors and hamstrings. If your client is unable to sit in the Y-sit position and maintain a neutral lumbo-pelvic position, try the variation demonstrated with crossed legs. If people have limited hip range, that still may be a significant challenge, in which case, you could try cross legged sitting on a firm bock. You could also try this exercises in standing, depending on what your aims were.
