Criss Cross Level 2
APPI's Criss Cross Level 2 is an advanced exercise which can be taught to experienced clients, with the aims of increasing abdominal strength, focusing on the obliques, as well as challenging rotary pelvic control.

This exercise is commonly done poorly, so keep the following technique pointers in mind as you teach it.
- Ensure the combined flexion & rotation is coming from the thoracic spine while the pelvis stays neutral, without any lateral shift or rotation.
- It's common to see people "pulling" on their neck, cue the elbows to stay wide and remain just in the peripheral vision throughout the movement, ensuring the neck and head stay relaxed.
- Check the placement of the extended leg is safe for the individual, to commence with the leg should be no lower than 45 degrees, the lower the leg, the more leverage is placed on the spine and the harder it is to maintain correct, balanced abdominal activation and stable pelvis
