The APPI Ante and Post Natal Reformer Pilates course is designed to equip Pilates instructors with the specialised knowledge and practical skills needed to safely and effectively work with clients during pregnancy and the postnatal period. This course provides a thorough exploration of reformer-based exercises tailored specifically for the ante and postnatal population, giving participants the confidence to deliver safe, evidence-based classes and 1:1 sessions.
Throughout the course, you will examine the unique considerations of the ante and postnatal period, including common presentations, physiological changes and exercise adaptations. You will gain an understanding of why the reformer is an ideal tool for supporting this population, how to select exercises with appropriate modifications and how to incorporate props to assist and enhance movement. Participants will also explore exercise options and creative approaches to planning classes, all underpinned by the latest research and clinical reasoning.
The course is highly practical, with guided demonstrations, classes and real world case studies, ensuring that participants can immediately apply what they learn in their teaching practice. By completing this course, instructors not only expand their expertise and credibility within the Pilates industry but also contribute positively to the health, recovery, and overall wellbeing of clients navigating these transformative life phases.
