Why choose APPI Pilates?

APPI Pilates is designed by physios for physios and other rehabilitation professionals.  It's an ideal tool to teach safe, effective and clinically relevant exercise to clients recovering from injury or undergoing rehabilitation in a wide variety of settings.

So what makes APPI different to general Pilates training on the market?

  • All APPI students must have a degree level qualification Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Medicine, Sports Science, Myotherapy, etc. For this reason the training is pitched at postgraduate level and the basics of anatomy, physiology, postural assessment etc are all presumed knowledge, so time can be spent teaching Pilates rather than re-hashing basic information that has been previously covered at university.

  • Because of the prior level of education our students have, APPI training is delivered over 6 face -to- face days for matwork and 8 face -to- face days for equipment training, rather than months of training that would  need to be delivered to those without a health background. These reduced contact hours also make for an affordable price point.

  • Our training is flexible, you can complete your certification in a few months if you have a need to get qualified quickly, or you can space out your training at a slower pace to fit around your other commitments.  You have up to two years to complete your training from the time you commence your first course.

  • APPI is an international brand. With it's head office based in London APPI is also the premier choice for health professionals in the UK and all throughout Europe.  APPI now also runs training for allied health professionals throughout the USA, South Africa, South America, Asia, New Zealand as well as Australia. So if you choose to travel and work clinically overseas, APPI is a name that many health professionals will recognise.

  • APPI's 5 stage process means each exercise can be linked to a clinically relevant goal and allows clinicians to create a structured and well rounded programme for their clients. The 5 - stage process aligns with the principles of load management, ensuring a safe approach to returning to movement after injury.

  • As well as being clinically appropriate, APPI training teaches  a full spectrum of movements and is also relevant for teaching individuals and groups in the health and fitness setting.

  • Whether you want some basics to incorporate into your general practice, get new ideas for your current classes, or pursue a career in teaching Pilates, APPI training will offer you training to suit your individual needs.
