This online, self-paced course provides strength and conditioning coaches and fitness professionals with an introduction to the structured APPI Pilates method. The course examines the role of the core in both athletic performance and functional movement, offering an evidence-informed perspective on core training.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of core function, methods for targeted training and progression, and strategies for incorporating Pilates principles into strength and conditioning programs to optimise performance outcomes.

Course inclusions: 1 day (approx. 8 hour online) course and downloadable course manual.  
 

Equipment: Pilates mat, headrest, theraband and Pilates soft ball will be beneficial to participate in all workshops  

Course duration: 6 - 8 hours to complete 

CPD hours:  You will receive a certificate of completion of the course stating 8 hours CPD which can be used towards your annual requirements.  

Eligibility: To be eligible to enrol you must have completed and hold a Strength & Conditioning or Personal Trainer qualification.

Access: You will have 12 months access to the course from the date of enrolment

Throughout the course participants will:

  • Gain an introduction to the APPI Pilates method and its guiding principles
  • Explore the role of the core in athletic performance and functional movement
  • Review key aspects of trunk anatomy to support an evidence-informed approach to training
  • Learn a series of progressive Pilates exercises that can be adapted to suit athletes at different stages of development
  • Discover practical strategies for incorporating Pilates into strength and conditioning programs to enhance performance outcomes

By the end of the course, attendees will have a clear framework for integrating Pilates into their practice, enabling them to support improved performance, injury prevention, and functional movement capacity in their clients and athletes.

To be eligible to attend this course, you must have completed and hold a Strength & Conditioning or Personal Trainer qualification.

This course would not be useful for someone who already has a Pilates Certification.
