Single Leg Series on the Cadillac from APPI Equipment Pilates
In this video we demonstrate the single leg series on the cadillac which is part of APPI’s Equipment Pilates Level 1 course for Lumbopelvic Pain. You will see the video helps to demonstrate the flow you can use with your clients between the plain single toe and bicycle.
Using the cadillac for single leg work not only challenges neurodynamics which can be useful for those who require more mobility and are non-irritable. Improving the single leg coordination through this exercise can be used assist with pain or those who require flexibility and control for sport.
APPI Equipment Level 1 - Lumbo Pelvic Stabilisation
APPI’s Equipment Level 1 introduces participants to Clinical Pilates teaching on the large equipment with a focus on lumbopelvic stability. It is also the entry point for those wishing to complete the APPI Clinical Pilates Equipment Certification Series and is a sound introduction to the large Pilates equipment, covering a range of beginner movements.
Beginner level repertoire is taught on the reformer, cadillac, split pedal chair and barrels addressing the lumbopelvic region and lower limb. On this course you will start to understand the ways movements can be adapted to different equipment, and why you would choose one over the other. Experience the movements for yourself and explore how equipment Pilates can be either a regression or progression from matwork exercises.
