To enrol, participants must have completed either APPI Pilates Instructor CertificationAPPI Matwork Level 1 or formal matwork Pilates training through another recognised provider.

The APPI Pilates for Scoliosis online course is a dynamic mix of theory and practical sessions on the use of Pilates in the management of scoliosis.

 

In this course you will review the history of scoliosis, it's incidence and development, and how it is now a prevalent condition seen by Physiotherapists and Pilates teachers. The course discusses the difference between congenital and idiopathic scoliosis, along with the mix between C-curve and S-curve deformities of the spine and their differing challenges. This course guides you through the APPI’s step-by-step program of how to deliver a successful in-clinic scoliosis session, as well as prescribing a suitable and specific home exercise program.



At the conclusion of this course, you will be well educated on the development and diagnosis of scoliosis.  You will be armed with a ready-made program to use in your clinical practice, to start making a difference in the lives of many of your clients.
